Fostering Futures enables LDSS to extend foster care financial and social support and services up to age 21 for two groups of young adults who reach age 18 on or after July 1, 2016: • Youth who are in foster care when they reach age 18; and, • Youth who were in foster care at the time of commitment to Youth Futures (YFI) is a non profit organisation that offers a number of services specifically aimed at young people. Accommodation. One of the core services we offer is crisis accommodation for young men who are homeless or at immediate risk of becoming homeless. Youth Futures is a Registered Training Organisation. This allows us to provide nationally recognised certified training to individuals and/or employers and other organisations. We offer a range of specific and general training. “Youth Futures means that I get to provide great activities for kids to do instead of turning to drugs and alcohol. We’re for all young people, regardless of who they are or the circumstances they’ve found themselves in. For over thirty years we have been empowering young people who want to change their lives for the better. Youth Futures mentors carry out a tailor-made goal plan for each child and their family through weekly one-on-one meetings, group sessions, and activities. The program is also helping transform Israel’s education system by changing the language teachers and educators use to focus on a child’s strengths and working toward positive goals; Youth Futures is impacting the culture of schools from the ground up. Mission: Youth futures mission is to provide safe shelter, collaborative resources, respectful guidance and diverse support to homeless, unaccompanied, runaway and at-risk youth in northern utah.

For Mitchell, Youth Futures has been a project six years in the making. the first Youth Futures shelter home, which will be located in Ogden, up and running.
